Faith Formation

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR STUDENTS PREPARING FOR THE FOLLOWING SACRAMENTS :

If your child is preparing to receive a sacrament during the 2026-2027 Faith Formation year, you will need to provide the following documentation by August 12, 2026 so your child can be placed in the correct sacramental preparation class.

• Baptism (for students not baptized yet, ages 7 and older): birth certificate
• First Holy Communion : Baptism Certificate
• Confirmation : Baptism & First Communion Certificate

NOTE: Documents can be dropped off at the parish office. All students & their parents who are receiving First Communion & Confirmation are required to attend Sunday Masses. Our classes from pre-K through 9th grade is held on Wednesdays 6pm-7pm.

Si su hijo se está preparando para recibir un sacramento durante el año de Formación de Fe 2026-27, deberá proporcionar documentación adicional antes del 12 de agosto de 2026, para que su hijo sea ubicado en la clase de preparación sacramental correcta.

Documentación requerida para estudiantes que se preparan para los siguientes sacramentos

• Bautismo (para estudiantes aün no bautizados, de 7 años en adelante- Acta de Nacimiento
• Primera Comunión - Certificado de Bautism o
• Confirmación - Certificados de Bautismo y Primera Comuniòn
• Todos las estudiantes y sus padres que rexiben Primera Comuniòn y Confirmación deban asistir a las Misas dominicales.

NOTA: Los documentos se pueden dejar en la oficina parroquial. Todos los estudiantes y sus padres que reciben Primera Comunión y Confirmación deben asistir a las Misas dominicales. Nuestras clases desde pre-K hasta 9 th grado se llevarán a cabo los miércoles;

Requirements For All Students

A. Children who attended Faith Formation classes at St. Mary’s Church/ Hearne last year [2025-206] and wish to attend this year must register AGAIN. If your child attended Faith Formation at another parish, you must bring a signed letter from that parish on the day of registration

B. Be members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church/ Hearne.

1. The family must be registered and active members of St. Mary’s Church/ Hearne from January 2026 or earlier. It is recommended that you use your Envelopes to demonstrate that you are an active member. Please present your membership paper when registering your children. To verify your church membership, you should bring an offering envelope and the number on the envelope or stop by the parish office to obtain.         

2. If you are not registered at St. Mary’s Church/ Hearne but regularly attend Mass at our parish, then you will only be enrolled when you register your students and indicate that you will register at St. Mary’s Church/ Hearne. In addition, you must request a letter of permission from the parish that you used to belong, in which they authorize your son or your daughter to receive sacramental preparations.
